Chief Evalle retired from the Air Force last month after serving our nation for 30 years. Evalle’s career culminated as the Command Chief Master Sergeant of the 60th Air Mobility Wing at Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield. There is good news for America’s seniors, many of whom live on a fixed income. For the second year in a row, there will be no increase in the Medicare Part B premium or deductible. Also, because of the ACA, 8.3 million seniors have saved $12 billio on their prescription drugs and 37 million seniors received free preventative care in 2013 alone.

Garamendi visited with veterans and veteran support organizations at the North Bay Stand Down for lower income and homeless veterans in Dixon. Garamendi’s veteran casework staff were also on hand to help veterans who are having ongoing issues with the Veterans Administration and other federal agencies. This year alone, his office has secured more than $3.5 million in earned benefits for veterans facing unacceptable bureaucratic delays.
