The goal of the National Heritage Area is to protect and promote the vast history, resources, and economy of the Delta community.

The Coast Guard is currently underfunded to meet its mission goals, and now House Republican leadership wants to shut it down. This would force our service members to serve their nation without pay. It would increase dangers on our seas. Instead of shutting down our security, we should immediately fund Homeland Security operations.

In Fiscal Year 2014, Lake County received more than $959,000 in geothermal royalties, money that directly supports public infrastructure, safety, and conservation efforts.
