WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Representatives John Garamendi (CA-08) and Mike Thompson (CA-04) joined President Joe Biden at the White House to announce the expansion of Berryessa Snow Mountain National Monument. The expansion will include approximately 13,696 additional acres of federally owned public land in Lake and Colusa Counties, California, encompassing the entirety of the Molok Luyuk region within the monument.

WASHINGTON, DC—Today, U.S. Representative John Garamendi (D-CA08) applauded Governor Gavin Newsom’s announcement of expedited permitting for the Sites Off-Stream Reservoir Project in Glenn and Colusa Counties, California. Garamendi represented the proposed project area for Sites Reservoir in Congress from 2013 through 2022 and served as the first-ever Deputy Secretary of the Interior under President Bill Clinton, where he oversaw the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation.
