As Congressional Hearing and at events for National Maritime Day, Garamendi working to strengthen the maritime sector, which is vital to the defense of our nation and to the strength of our economy.

If the Midwest is America’s breadbasket, California is America’s garden basket, home to the world’s largest variety of rice, fruits, vegetables, and nuts.

The good news is that this nation, the strongest economic nation in the world, can solve the climate change problem or at least lead, and in doing so we can put people back to work.

Ending preventable flight delays is good, but Congress also needs to prevent the draconian cuts to our nation’s defense, research, Head Start, and children’s health care that are already causing alarm among families in my district.
