Congressman Garamendi Releases Comprehensive Water Plan for All of California
Despite threatening to wreak havoc on the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta, the State of California continues to push California WaterFix, the massive twin 40-foot diameter tunnels capable of carrying 15,000 cubic feet of water per second (cfs). Communities across the state, and especially in Northern California, are justifiably concerned about the project's impact on our agriculture, property, environment, water, and economy.
Congressman Garamendi, a lead opponent of California WaterFix, has outlined a comprehensive water plan that would meet the needs of all California residents. To read the Water Plan For All of California click here.
“A thorough review will show that California WaterFix will not add a drop of new water and will destroy the largest estuary on the West Coast of the Western Hemisphere. They should never be built, and I will oppose them every step of the way.” said Garamendi.
