Washington, DC—Congressman John Garamendi (D-Davis, Fairfield, Yuba City), was selected by his committee colleagues to serve as Chair of the Readiness Subcommittee on the House Armed Services Committee. The Readiness Subcommittee oversees defense programs that enable the military services to be prepared to fight. Military units that have sufficient equipment, trained personnel, and supplies are considered "ready."
WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman John Garamendi (D-Fairfield, Davis, Yuba City, CA), a member of the Strategic Forces Subcommittee, which is tasked with defending the United States against nuclear threats, released the following statement in response to the Trump Administration's refusal to comply with the terms of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action to restrict Iran's nuclear program:
