January 12, 2017
Washington—Congressman John Garamendi and Senators Dianne Feinstein and Kamala Harris (all D-Calif.) today applauded the Air Force’s decision to base the new KC-46A Pegasus refueling tanker at Travis Air Force Base in Solano County:
“The Air Force’s decision to bring 24 new KC-46A Pegasus refueling tankers to Travis Air Force Base is welcome news. As the Gateway to the Pacific, Travis already has a long history of providing refueling missions to support operations around the globe.
“Today’s announcement shows the Air Force recognizes the base’s strategic importance and is committed to making long-term investments so Travis Air Force Base continues to play a critical role in protecting our nation.”
