Grants Seminar

With an increasing shortfall of local, state, and federal funding, critical needs and services are being overlooked in our local communities. Despite the cuts, local non-profit and community leaders have been resilient, stepping up to serve those in need in collaborative and innovative ways. This Grants Seminar aims to help our local agencies and community non-profits identify funding opportunities and build organizational capacity. It is a free event open to representatives from all government agencies and non-profits serving the 3rd District.

To RSVP to the Grants Seminar, please e-mail Andrew March at andrew.march@mail.house.gov or (530) 753-5301. An optional RSVP is also available on Facebook at https://j.mp/GrantsSeminar.

The seminar will begin with a workshop for beginning grant writers – providing invaluable information for non-profits and local government agencies. About Congressman Garamendi

Congressman Garamendi has long worked to bring more federal resources to the 3rd District. Partnering with Congressman Doug LaMalfa (R-CA-01), he was instrumental in securing federal funding and overcoming regulatory hurdles for important levee projects in the 3rd District. He has worked to preserve the vital missions at Travis and Beale Air Force bases and is one of Congress’s leading advocates for federal investments in research and infrastructure. He has been successful in strengthening Buy American guidelines in several major bills that are now law. His constituent casework team has brought millions of dollars to 3rd District residents facing unacceptable bureaucratic delays in receiving benefits that were owed to them, particularly at the Veterans Administration. This is a continuation of his decades of public service for the people of California as a State Legislator, Insurance Commissioner, and Lieutenant Governor, including initiatives that brought millions of dollars back to California consumers through insurance savings and billions of dollars to University of California infrastructure.
