Garamendi Issues Statement on House Passage of Spending Bill

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman John Garamendi (D-CA) released the following statement on the passage of a continuing resolution to fund the government:

“After weeks of House Democrats pushing to work across the aisle for the good of the American people to keep the federal government open, MAGA Republicans have finally surrendered and given up on their radical agenda of 30 percent cuts for all government programs including the military, veterans, health care, and environmental protections.

“We now have 45 days to provide year-long government funding to provide clean energy, essential benefits for working families, food assistance programs, and affordable housing.

My House Democratic colleagues and I are ready to get to work to put people over politics and fight for all Americans.”
