Joaquin Castro and 29 House Democrats in demanding the U.S. Department of State hold Israel to the same standard as other countries and provide transparency on Israel's nuclear capabilities, ending decades-long ambiguity. This request, amid the ongoing Iran War, would fulfill Congress’ constitutional responsibility to be fully informed about the nuclear balance in the Middle East and pave the way for coherent nonproliferation policy.
