Fairfield, CA – Today, Congressman John Garamendi (CA-08) released the following statement in response to the shooting at the Solano Town Center in Fairfield:  

“My team and I are aware of and are monitoring the horrific tragedy in the heart of Fairfield. I’m praying for the seven victims and their families, as well as the wider Fairfield community who are still struggling with this devastating situation. 

What should have been a weekend of celebration has turned into a tragedy. This horrific situation should never have happened, and I will do everything in my power to ensure it never happens again. 

I thank local and federal law enforcement for their swift response and service as they continue searching for the suspect. They have my full and unwavering support.
