Service Academy Nominations
Thank you for your interest in the U.S. Service Academies. As your 3rd District Representative in the U.S. House of Representatives, each year I have the privilege of nominating a limited number of people to four of the five service academies. The honor of attending a service academy comes with an obligation and commitment to serve in the military for a minimum of five years upon graduation. For more information, please review my page of Frequently Asked Questions for those seeking a Service Academy Nomination. Best wishes to you as you pursue your goal of attending one of the U.S. Service Academies and serving our country.
To request a Service Academy Nomination form my office, please complete the Service Academy Nomination Form and send a printed copy to my Davis Office at 412 G Street, Davis, CA 95616 labeled "Attn: Service Academy Nominations."
The deadline to submit a completed application for nomination consideration is Friday, November 3rd, 2017. Accepted applications will be given an in-person interview in December 3, 2016. This is a mandatory in-person meeting taking place in Fairfield. Interested candidates must have this date available as there will be no other interview dates.
Our office will host two Academy Nights, which are non-mandatory, informative events that serve to educate students and families about academy life and the application process. Representatives from the different service academies and Congressman Garamendi’s office will be on hand to answer any questions that you may have. The events will be held September 13-15, locations and times will be announced closer to the date.
